Last of the burnt-out lots on Southern Blvd.
The blighted lot at the corner of Barretto St. and Southern Blvd. stood as the last reminder of the devastation that rocked Hunts Point in the 1970s. Earlier this week, the whirring of bulldozer engines ushered in the end of that dismal era.
