A long-time employee of the non-profit Soundview Healthcare Network was the first witness to take the stand Thursday in the corruption trial of former Senate Majority Leader Pedro Espada Junior, who told jurors about the clinic's financial troubles, its out of date medical equipment and supply shortage.
