Fwd: MTA: Fix the 149th Street-Grand Concourse elevator

Dear The Bronx MoveOn member,

I'm Enrique, a MoveOn member, and I started a petition to MTA Chairman Thomas F. Prendergast, which says:

We, the concerned citizens of New York state, want to ensure that senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and mothers with small children have vital elevator service provided again at the E. 149th St. & Grand Concourse train station hub in the Bronx, New York.

We are starting this petition to continue to push the MTA to restore elevator service for our senior citizens, disabled persons, and mothers with baby strollers at the E. 149th St. & Grand Concourse train station hub (2, 4, and 5 lines).

This South Bronx community has suffered over 30 years without having this vital elevator service repaired. There are also several institutions in this community that are directly affected, including Michelangelo Apartments, Hostos Community College, Lincoln Hospital, the 149th Street General Post Office, and Pregones Theatre. Please sign the petition to tell MTA to restore elevator service at our train hub.

Click here to add your name to this petition, and then pass it along to your friends.

Thanks!

–Enrique
