  A USA TODAY Network investigation shows that lives are in jeopardy because millions of cellphone calls aren't sharing the caller's location with 911 call centers that send out police, fire and ambulance crews during emergencies. In some cases, callers have died while waiting to be found.

Notification issued 2/20/15 at 3:00 PM. New York City Emergency Management has issued a weather alert for dangerous cold temperatures for tonight, followed by a wintry mix of snow, sleet, freezing rain, and rain Saturday, 2/21 through Sunday 2/22. Low temperatures tonight are forecast around 10 degrees and wind chills near 5 degrees. Saturday wind chills between 0 and 10 degrees can be expected. Light snow will begin late Saturday morning and continue throughout the day, becoming heavier between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Snow will transition to sleet and freezing rain Saturday evening into Sunday morning. New Yorkers are asked to exercise caution during the period of extreme cold weather, and be prepared for slippery conditions, as freezing rain could cause icy conditions Sunday. St. Ann's Avenue/East 142nd Street Request for Proposals

The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) invites developers to submit proposals for a new construction project in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx. 

The Site is owned by the City of New York and located at the intersection of St. Ann's Avenue and East 142nd Street in the Mott Haven neighborhood of the Bronx within Community District 1 (Block 2268, Lots 23-30, 32).  The goal is to develop a mixed-income development that will expand affordable housing opportunities in the neighborhood.

Interested parties that choose to download the RFP using the link below must provide their contact information.  Only those who provide their contact information will receive updates or additional communications regarding the RFP.  The RFP contains a detailed description of the development program, requirements, guidelines, eligibility requirements, selection process, and submission requirements.
